French automaker Peugeot has released the first teaser photos of their 208 T16 race car that will compete in this year's Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado.
As expected, Peugeot's Unlimited Class contender comes with a carbon fiber shell and features Pikes Peak specific exterior alterations, such as a wide body configuration, a massive rear wing and a roof-mounted air intake.
Also, the 208 T16 gained a side exhaust, while interior was stripped and modified to host a roll cage. Other cockpit modifications include a carbon fiber racing seat, alloy pedals, paddle shifters and a digital instrument cluster. No-nonsense is the best word that can describe this hill-climber.
Set to be unveiled later this month, the Peugeot 208 T16 will be driven by Sebastien Loeb at the 2013 Peaks Pike International Hill Climb. Peugeot has won the competition twice, in 1988 and 1989, with race-prepped 405 T16 models.
