Peugeot UK has just announced a new special edition based on the 208, currently their most popular car. It's called the 208 Style, which is fitting for a model that targets the high-street buyer that values the glossiness of a Cosmopolitan cover.
The 208 Style is based on the Active trim level… which probably means nothing to you. Peugeot's trim levels are notoriously tricky to understand, so to clarify the situation, the Style package is basically upper mid-grade stuff.
For £13,445, you get a lot of equipment, including a "Cielo" panoramic glass roof. During the day, it lets the sun into the cabin while at night it, boasts ambient lighting around the edges of the roof, creating a good visual effect for night-time driving.
Also included as standard are satellite navigation, parking air, a leather steering wheel, chrome door mirrors, new seat trim and "Style" specific badging. The standard wheel is the 15-inch "Azote",
As we've mentioned, prices start at £13,445, which gets you a 3-door supermini, while £14,045 is the base 5-door sticker five-door. The base engine with both these versions is the 1.2-liter VTI from the PureTech family, good for 82PS. But you can also order it with a choice of two diesels, the 1.4-liter HDI or the 1.6-liter e-HDI Stop & Start, which considerably increase the price of the model.
