Crossing the road when there are no crosswalks is not something to be taken lightly. While it may seem like you have all the time in the world, you usually don`t and cars tend to approach just a little bit quicker than you expect them to.
To make matters worse, some people (and this has been proven to be quite a common phenomenon) look in the wrong direction when crossing the street, exposing themselves to anything that might happen to be driving by at the very moment - a truck, a bus, an SUV or if you are in Russia, a tank.
This Russian man, clearly looks right and makes sure it's safe, despite the fact that he should know no cars will never come from that direction. After looking right and making sure no cars are coming, he proceeds to cross the street, while still looking right. He does not even see the white Lada that scoops him onto its bonnet and windscreen.
