One-Off Kia Cee’d Becomes Mid-Engined

The Kia Cee’d is a rather bland and unassuming-looking thing - a trait which has made it very popular with people who don’t really want to be seen or noticed. Its lines are decently-proportioned, but it has no real styling cues to speak of and it is quite anonymous.
However, some people from Slovakia (the country where the Cee’d is made) have decided to turn the boring old hatchback into something much more special. They have taken its 2.0-liter diesel engine and have planted it behind the driver. They have thus created the world’s first mid-engined Kia Cee’d.

Its engine has also been tuned by Mito Motorsport and now produces somewhere around the 200 hp mark, though they are aiming for 300+ hp in the future. Once completed, the car will probably be paraded around drift shows, rallycross events and even hill climbs.
We hope to see it finished soon, and doing its thing - this is one very interesting and unique project, we must admit.
