The 2014 Maserati Quattroporte came to the world via the Detroit Motor Show this year and one of the first production models has already found an owner at a recent Florida auction.
The four-door Maserati went under the hammer at the Naples Winter Wine Festival, managing to fetch $340,000 (€250,508 at the current exchange rate). The vehicle was one of the stars of the event. The proceeds from the auction are set to benefit the Naples Children & Education Foundation. The event raised a total of $8.5 million.
Maserati has big plans for the sixth-generation Quattroporte, as it is also aiming to draw more attention to the brand using the model, besides the obvious sales goal. We’ll remind you that the 2014 Quattroporte can be ordered with a 3.0-liter V6 or with a 3.8-liter V8. Both units feature twin turbocharging, with the first delivering 410 hp and the latter allowing the driver to control 530 hp.
