With the summer underway, we are all thinking about leaving the city buzz behind for some quiet place in the middle of nowhere. Enter the Cybertruck cyber-camper. It is a Cybertruck with a pop-up tent over the load bed.
Of all the camper conversations that the Cybertruck received, this one seems to be the most interesting so far. The conversation was carried out by Cybertruck Co, which built the shell on a modular rack with a pass-through door at the back.

There is a 3-inch-thick memory foam mattress with reversible bedding inside the tent, measuring 48 x 88 inches (1,219 x 2,235 millimeters). That is almost as much as you would get in a hotel room.

On the move, when the tent is closed, the canopy follows the angular design of the Cybertruck. The team still has to make changes to the roof panels. The entire assembly weighs just under 300 pounds.

Photos of the conversion were uploaded to the Cybertruck Owners Club. Customers will be able to chouse from four sidewall and three roof options. They can go for stainless steel or aluminum walls with polycarbonate windows, provided by Lormac Plastics.

The model in the photos is also equipped with off-road lights from Baja Designs. It sports eight XL linkables on top and a 40-inch S8 light bar in the front bumper. This light setup costs $3,500.

Cybertruck Co teamed up with Badass Tents, which supplies the tent fabric. To check how it holds up in real-life scenarios, Cybertruck Co took the Tesla camper on a tour across the United States. The tour starts in San Diego and goes to Tahoe, Yosemite, and then to Monterey. Next week, the tour will take those involved to the Laguna Seca motorcycle race.

The conversion experts will put the canopy up for sale on their website before the end of July and delivery should take around 30 days. Pricing starts at $1,500 for the modular roof rack frame. The final price will be depending on the sidewall and roof choices.

And it seems that there is no limit to customization. According to Roger Davis from Cybertruck Co, the camper that has been completed has Chewbacca on one side and an image representing Dia De Los Muertos (The Day of the Dead) on the other side. The personalization was completed just before the vehicle left for the media tour.

Furthermore, the top panels can be ordered in a powder-coated matte black or the usual stainless steel., while the white aluminum composite roof can help keep the heat down on summer days.

Cybertruck Co promises to offer more accessories and buildout options. Solar panels are also part of the plan, but the team did not have time to add them. When Cybertruck Co will start sales,  flip-up rear windows and doors for ventilation will also be available. The pop-up tent will be dust- and water-resistant.
