It hasn’t been a week since the upcoming 5-door MINI Cooper was spotted completely undisguised on an airstrip somewhere in the Netherlands, looking all strapped and good to go for a long trip.
Seeing it all camp-free and shining, everyone thought the new model will be unveiled at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show but we’re on the second press day today and there’s still no sign of the new car anywhere, meaning we’ve been duped. But where did it go then?
My guess is that the Cooper S was heading to some remote corner of the world for a proper photo shoot that will be unveiled when the car will be revealed to all of us.
Just as the 3-door versions ahead of it were spotted completely undisguised in Los Angeles and some other locations in the US during photo shoots well ahead of their official launch, just the same we’re expecting the 5-door to leak online well before the British expect.
