Japanese automaker Nissan has unveiled the facelifted version of its European-spec Micra supermini, which is set to go on sale this fall.
Featuring an updated exterior, including redesigned bumpers, bonnet, tailgate, head/tail lamps and fog light surrounds, the 2013 MIcra will arrive in dealerships with an enhanced interior as well. This means a new centre console, a larger 5.8-inch touchscreen with Nissan’s latest infotainment system and a new cabin trim.
The entry-level Visia version comes with remote central locking, electric front windows, power steering, CD player with USB, ABS and ESP as standard, while the Acenta trims will add 15-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, Bluetooth connectivity and automatic wipers. Choosing the range-topping Tekna will get you the Acenta plus climate control, parking assist, 16-inch alloy wheels, folding mirrors, keyless start and many more.
Drivers looking to add other features to their Micra should now that the options list now offers a panoramic glass roof, additional exterior colors, park assist, and new wheel designs. In addition, customers can choose the color or customize several exterior and interior details, including wheel center caps, door mirrors, gear knob, floor mats or air vents.
Going under the bonnet, the engine lineup remains the same, with the familiar three-cylinder 1.2-liter gasoline engines, one of which is the supercharged DIG-S. Each of them can be ordered with either the standard five-speed manual gearbox or the optional CVT.
