Nissan Motor Company is recalling five 2013 model vehicles, because the front passenger airbag may not deploy in an accident.
The recall is expected to begin next month. It seems that the sensors determining if a passenger is sitting in the seat haven't met specifications and may not detect the weight of a person. As a result, the passenger airbag could not be deploy, should a frontal collision occur.
Nissan didn’t say what is the number of the problme cars, all we know is that only models sold in the United States will be recalled, those being the Nissan Altima, Sentra, Pathfinder, Leaf and the Infinity JX35.
The automaker will also recall 482 Sentras from the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico because fuel tanks were not properly sealed, causing a small leak of gasoline when they were filled.
