The German sports car and SUV maker Porsche sells endless variants of the 911 but also has various other 'interests' with the Panamera line, the Macan and Cayenne crossover SUVs, the Taycan EV, or the baby 718 sports cars.
Looking at the bigger picture, this is one of the most famous automobile producers in the world, a landmark of profitability, and also one of the few companies that proved on numerous occasions there are no such things as impossible feats.

However, after proving they can sell a luxury high-performance crossover SUV among many others, now they're facing an uphill battle to make their Macan and Cayenne all-electric models. They started with the Macan, of course, and the second generation has already arrived as an EV-only nameplate alongside the established Taycan series.

There's a perceived slowdown of all-electric sales around the world these days, though, as people are weary of range anxiety, charging pileups, and many other problems – like the massive software issues that plagued Volkswagen for years and triggered massive EV setbacks at GM, among others.

Alas, it seems that Porsche is unrelenting in its quest to make the lineup more sustainable. They just launched the refreshed 2025 Porsche 911 GTS with the T-Hybrid powertrain packing 532 combined horsepower. They also have the Macan and Taycan EVs up for grabs. So, what's their next step? Well, if you ask the rumor mill and the imaginative realm of digital car content creators, it seems that we're in line to receive the next-generation Cayenne as a full-size seven-seat all-electric crossover SUV.

Last month, a new set of photos taken by our spy photographer partners showed the upcoming Porsche Cayenne Electric prototypes in (almost) all their glory, including previously unseen details – but still hiding plenty of design elements from the naked eye. Naturally, that made the parallel universes of vehicular CGI collide with the real world, and the designer behind Avarvarii Automotive Artworks (aka avarvarii on social media) has taken a good, extended look at Porsche's plans and decided he knows the next Cayenne's looks.

The rumor mill previously had trouble identifying the exact location in the lineup of a new seven-seat Porsche EV crossover SUV – which some labeled as an all-new full-size model tucked above the Cayenne in the family and intended for North America especially. Now, those prototypes have been allegedly properly identified as part of the all-new Cayenne EV lineup. So, the pixel master is free to showcase the hypothetical design, taking inspiration from the Macan EV but with a long wheelbase and large rear doors.

The CGI expert even rates his work at 75% accuracy, so do take all these renderings – as always – with a pinch of salt, as nothing is official from Porsche just yet. The styling takes the oblong-shaped headlights and short nose from the new Macan EV, but the profile is characteristic of old Cayennes and makes way for a much larger battery pack and space for seven people onboard. As for technical details, those are still scarce, but the author believes that Porsche will pull all the strings to feature advanced chassis technology and fast charging capabilities, "potentially surpassing the (refreshed) Taycan" in the process.

So, what do you think? Is this a yay or a nay as far as Porsche is concerned?
