New Volkswagen to Be Jetta Officially Launch in India on August 17th

The new Volkswagen Jetta prepares itself to enter the Indian auto market. The big event will take place on August 17th which is the same date for Maruti Swift’s entrance into same  auto market. Volkswagen India seems to be ensuring that the new Jetta Sedan’ launch on the same day will not be dimmed by Maruti’s appearance into the Indian market.

The new VW Jetta is a vastly improved version over the previous model and it is expected to raise the bar significantly. If we are to compare the new model with the previous one, which looked downright boring, the  Jetta though an average looker, bring with it typical lines that give it a solid and clean look. Furtheromore, the new model looks a lot fresher than the current version, and shares an eerie resemblance with the likes of the Polo, Vento and the Passat.

Volkswagen India will sell the new Jetta probably with 2 engine versions, the well known 2 liter common rail TDI engine producing 140bhp as well as a 1.8 liter turbo, petrol engine producing 160bhp. Things are not certain regarding the”adoption” of the petrol engine, since Volkswagen India pulled off a surprise last time around when it launched the Passat Sedan only with the diesel engine version available.

The Jetta might be available with BlueMotion technology as an option, as Volkswagen India had indicated during the Passat launch, that more and more VW cars in India would get the fuel saving-emission cutting-edge BlueMotion technology.
