The videographer behind the Wheels channel on YouTube is a big fan of both old and new sports cars and gathered some mighty action in one recent collection – and there's something for everyone, including Corvettes, Camaros, Hellcats, and Demon 170s.
American muscle cars have always been fascinating – especially when witnessed from the side of the local quarter-mile dragstrip. Also, we really need to cherish them because there aren't a lot of them left alive in the world right now aside from the S650 seventh-generation 2024 Ford Mustang and the upcoming 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona and 2025 Sixpack. No worries, the old ones are just as glorious.

This compilation is surely going to make the day for both old and new muscle car fans, by the way. So, the action starts with an old-school Chevy Camaro SS packing a classic black with white stripes livery as it heads out at Mission Raceway Park (MRP - also known as Thunder by the River - is located in Mission, British Columbia, Canada) to fight against the modern C8 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.

They put the old versus new brawls into the proper perspective, kicking off the tire-torturing ball with a nice and tame 12.15s versus 14.89s skirmish. We feel they could have done better, but the videographer doesn't pause and switches to the next confrontation between a Chevy Nova SS dressed in crimson with black stripes on the big hood and a purple Dodge Challenger.

Judging by the livery, especially the normal front fender flares and the wide ones at the rear, this is no ordinary Challenger. Instead, we are dealing with the mighty 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 'Last Call' special edition! As such, we're expecting an escalation of the old versus new wars, of course. However, that's not the case, unfortunately, as neither racer was in a big hurry down the track, and they ended up posting 12.03s versus 12.96s elapsed times for the Mopar, naturally.

Well, no worries, there's another Demon 170 lined up for the third skirmish of this compilation as the videographer switches to The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway at the 1:42 mark. This time around, it's a tame-looking white Dodge with just the black hood, black spoiler, and black Demon badges giving it away. In the other lane, though, sits a car that's even more spectacular than a glowing neon yellow Mopar – an old-school muscle coupe (is that also a third-generation Nova or something else?) dressed as a police car.

It's no ordinary cruiser, though – this one looks like a fully-built racing machine that's only packing the law enforcement's livery as a nod to its driver, most likely – identified on the driver-side window as one sergeant Mike Wynnyk. As such, we're expecting a blast from this race, and we didn't get disappointed like with the other Demon 170. Well, Mopar fans will shed a tear for the Hoosier-equipped Dodge Challenger because while the SRT Demon 170 posted a good-if-not-flawless 9.79s pass at over 146 mph, it was still buss-lengths behind the police rocket's 8.11s at 168 mph performance.

By the way, we just discussed less than three minutes of the video's runtime of more than 11 minutes – there's more old school versus new kids on the block action waiting in line, so be sure to watch the entire feature – you won't get disappointed.
