It is easy to imagine a world where electric Jeeps roam freely in the wilderness, and the Stellantis-owned brand has already stepped foot in this direction with the all-new Wagoneer S. However, this isn't the only fresh product Jeep has introduced, as the Wagoneer S Trailhawk Concept joins it.
Building on its production counterpart, it features multiple modifications. Some visually set it apart from the Wagoneer S, whereas others enhance its off-road prowess. Make no mistake, despite its battery-electric nature, the study can venture on some steep paths.

It features stuff such as a laser-cut aluminum roof rack, updated styling at both ends, heavy-duty tow hooks, and chunky tires hugging the 18-inch wheels. The lift kit allows it to go over some serious obstacles, and the usual drive modes (Auto, Sand, Snow, Eco, and Sport) have received the Rock setting. Moreover, a driver-selectable electronic rear axle locker is on deck.

Jeep paid extra attention to the new Wagoneer S Trailhawk Concept. Besides the visual updates on the outside and the suspension modifications, the battery-electric study has a modified cabin, too. Here, the company mentions the Mantis Green non-leather synthetic upholstery, meteorite-inspired stone veneer, dark metallic and red accents, and others.

It makes do without a yoke steering (thank God for that!), as this part has an octagonal shape with grip at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions and a rounded profile for hand-over-hand maneuvering. A grab bar can be seen on the passenger's side. The concept has reconfigurable elastic straps, a large storage bin in the center console, a wireless charging pad, and multiple USB outlets, as well as heated and ventilated seats, and so on.

Jeep hasn't mentioned the technical aspects, but according to the car manufacturer, the production Wagoneer S uses a 100 kWh battery pack that enables a range in excess of 300 miles or 482 km. The battery powers a single electric motor that drives all four wheels and generates 600 hp (609 ps/448 kW) and 617 pound-foot (837 Nm) of torque. It has a 124 mph (200 kph) top speed and the ability to get to 60 mph (97 kph) in 3.4 seconds.

Given the off-road-oriented nature of the Jeep Wagoneer S Trailhawk Concept, we expect it to be a bit slower than its production counterpart and to have a slightly lower range, given that it sports the same powertrain in the same configuration, of course.

But what about a production version, you ask? Well, in all likelihood, the new study previews one, as it is hard to imagine the automotive realm without a battery-electric Jeep that can take on the great outdoors whenever its driver wishes to. So, is this model something you'd consider buying if it gets the green light for assembly?
