Nissan’s new Dacia Duster-based Terrano SUV will be unveiled on August 20 at an event in Mumbai, India, the Japanese automaker announced yesterday.
The rebadged Duster will arrive with slightly modified exterior and interior designs, which will make it more expensive, but will offer the same engine lineup (85 HP to 110 HP) as the Dacia/Renault SUV. The new Nissan Terrano will become available only on the Indian market at first.
The vehicle will be manufactured at the company’s facility in Chennai, along the local market Renault Duster and the UK version of the Dacia Duster. Further details will be unveiled in less than three weeks, so make sure you stick around.
As a reminder, the Nissan Terrano was discontinued in 2006, after being assembled for 13 years in Spain. The mid-size SUV was sold in two body styles, a shorter three-door version and a longer five-door model.
