If you’re reading this, chances are that you don’t live in Japan, since we’re using good-ol’ English. But we though it’d be interesting to show you something from a completely different automotive genre.
We’ve learned that a brand new Daihatsu Move will be launched in Japan on December 20th, in just a few short weeks. The Move is a kei car that has been on the market since 1995 in various configurations. From what we gather, this will be a fourth generation model, with a different body, chassis and hopefully more efficient engine.
As any good kei car should, its engine will be limited to 660 meters, but hopefully they’ll be able to get the fuel economy down to about 30 km/l to stay competitive.
As per usual, our basic Japanese isn’t helping us very much, but from what we understand, this teaser video is supposed to be a make-believe trial about some sort of “affair”. And yes, the guy in this trailer was in Memoirs of a Geisha, his name is Kôji Yakusho and he played “Nobu” if memory serves us right.
