Audi has just expanded the new Q6 e-tron family by introducing a new version that adds the Performance suffix. Mind you, don't let its name trick you, as it is a base flavor with rear-wheel drive and improved electric range compared to its more superior siblings.
The new Audi Q6 e-tron Performance, which sits under the Q6 e-tron Quattro and SQ6 e-tron, packs a single motor to drive the rear axle. According to the four-ring brand, it has a total system output of 322 hp (326 ps/240 kW).

Those keeping track of the output are aware that the new Q6 e-tron Performance is less punchy than the Q6 e-tron Quattro. The latter has 382 hp (387 ps/285 kW) and does 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) in 5.9 seconds, whereas the latest entry to the lineup is seven-tenths of a second slower.

Packing additional features and a way punchier assembly, the Audi SQ6 e-tron tops the lineup with a combined 483 hp (490 ps/360 kW) and a more impressive 510 hp (517 ps/380 kW) with the launch control function engaged. The German automaker says it needs 4.2s to accelerate to 62 mph and maxes out at 143 mph (230 kph).

Audi's 2024 Q6 e-tron Performance uses a 100 kWh battery pack (94.9 kWh net), just like the rest of the lineup, which gives it a WLTP-rated range of 398 miles (641 km). This makes it "one of the models with the longest range in the segment," the automaker says, highlighting that it adds 162 miles (260 km) of autonomy in just ten minutes at a fast charging station.

Unfortunately, Audi wasn't too keen on releasing some juicy details about the equipment lineup of its latest electric crossover variant. Nevertheless, we expect it to feature some interesting gear, though some of it will likely be optional (or maybe unavailable).

Depending on the version, the Q6 e-tron comes with a 10.9-inch front passenger display, a head-up display with augmented reality, a 14.5-inch infotainment system, an 11.9-inch digital gauge cluster, a digital assistant, a Bang & Olufsen premium audio system with 22 speakers, an interaction light bar, etc.

Storage-wise, the battery-electric crossover offers 18.6 cu-ft (526 liters) of space in the cargo area, which can increase to an impressive 54 cu-ft (1,529 liters) with the rear seats folded down. Since it is an EV, the Q6 e-tron also has a frunk, which offers an additional 2.3 cu-ft (64 liters) of storage.

Audi's new Q6 e-tron Performance is now available to order in Germany, where pricing starts at €68,800 (equal to $74,783). As a result, it undercuts the Q6 e-tron Quattro by €5,900 ($6,413). The SQ6 e-tron has a recommended retail price of €93,800 ($101,957) in the base configuration. Deliveries are expected to commence in the third quarter of the year for the Performance and in August for the other two models.
