A little bit earlier, we showed a 472 hp VW T5 van that German tuner MTM will present at next week’s Geneva Motor Show. The aftermarket developer will also offer a less extreme project at the Swiss event, in the form of a modification pack for the Audi Q3 2.0-liter TFSI.
The engine was boosted from the factory stock 170 to 310 hp (this is the usual maximum power “safe” value for VW’s 2.0 TFSI unit), which means that the vehicle now only needs 6.1 seconds to cover the 0 to 62 mph sprint, while its top speed was boosted from 132 mph (212 km/h) to 155 mph (250 km/h). Just as in the case of the aforementioned Transported, the three-color wrap is optional.
The powerplant also comes with a more aggressive sound, as it uses a custom exhaust, a rear diffuser, a new suspension, as well as a set of 20-inch Bimoto rims, with the fun setting you back EUR22,000 (USD29,500 at the current exchange rates.
autoevolution will be attending the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
