Would you agree that certain Ferraris look best with a red paint finish on their bodies? So would the purist crowd, which is why a good chunk of the vehicles made at the Maranello factory in Italy sport the iconic Rosso Corsa.
However, you can also see numerous Ferraris in more traditional hues, like white, gray, and black, and a few finished in other colors. If you are into the blue ones, then you have come to the right place, as this Ferrari 296 GTB mixes two such tones on that elegant body.
Wheels Boutique released images of this hybrid supercar on its social media a few days ago, briefly speaking about the two colors. These are called the Azzurro Dino and Azzurro Plata, and while they may not be the first choice on our ideal Ferrari, regardless of the model, we've got to admit that they make the pictured 296 GTB stand out more.
This vehicle retains its OEM logos, which are also visible on the aftermarket wheels. Yep, those shiny V-spoke alloys came from HRE, and they're an expensive proposal, as they start at $3,300 each. Made in California, the wheels are available in diameters varying from 20 to 24 inches and can also be specified in a whole bunch of different colors.
A special commission, this ride is now ready to turn heads wherever it goes. We'd normally tell you about the interior now, but it is barely visible through the windows. Nevertheless, it looks like blue was the color chosen for the seat upholstery, and it was probably replicated on other parts of the cockpit, next to a few black accents and the usual Ferrari emblems.
Ferrari's 296 GTB mixes a turbo'd 3.0-liter V6 with electric assistance. The ICE, which can be revved up to 8,500 rpm, produces 654 hp (663 ps/488 kW), and the motor generates an extra 165 hp (167 ps/123 kW). The model unleashes a total of 818 hp (830 ps/610 kW) and 546 pound-foot (740 Nm) of torque. With the 7.45 kWh battery charged, this model has an electric range of 16 miles (25 km).
But how fast is it? The answer comes from the spec sheet, which reveals 2.9s for 0-62 mph (0-100 kph), 7.3 seconds from naught to 124 mph (0 to 200 kph), and a maximum speed of over 205 mph (330 kph). Ferrari says the 296 GTB can lap the Fiorano racetrack in 1 minute and 21 seconds, identical to the F12tdf and a bit faster than the 488 Pista. The 296 GTB is slightly slower than the 812 Competizione, LaFerrari, and SF90 at the aforementioned racetrack.
So, if you owned a Ferrari 296 GTB, what color would it be?
