The Internet has developed an obsession for the Nurburgring and while the Green Hell is worthy of our undivided attention, there are also other circuits for which we can say the same, at least when it comes to track day shenanigans. Let's take the Circuit Zandvoort, for instance.
This Dutch track is well known to die-hard Formula One fans, since it was in the Great Circus calendar from the mid-50s until 1985, with only a few years of pause.
In fact, The Nethelands will once again host F1 races over there starting from 2020, so be prepared to see a lot of this track soon.
Meanwhile, we can enjoy plenty of track day action, as well as various one-make competitions, such as the Mercedes-Benz SLK or the Westfield Cups from the circuit.
In fact, I've brought along an examplst of a track day stunt from Zandvoort, with the track having almost claimed a MINI. The shenanigan took place earlier today and we can see the driver of the British toy carrying too much speed into the Mastersbocht corner. It looks like the aficioando was fixated on overtaking an E36 BMW.
And while the MINI almost reached the rear bumper of the Bimmer, it did so while its back was sliding, since the said maneuver probably ended up in lift-off oversteer.
What followed can be best described as a series of overcorrection maneuvers, with the MINI eventually sliding its way off the track.
The vehicle managed to come to a stop just inches away from the guardrail, as you'll get to notice in the clip below.
P.S.: If you're in a rush, you can check out the said adventure at the 1:20 point of the video. However, the rest of the clip is also loaded with spicy moments from the said session, including a not-so-serious crash.
