There is no such thing as a quiet neighborhood if you live in LA. One day, the area you live in will still end up on TV one way or another. Ask the people who saw this Mercury Mystique flown into the fence of a home.
It is not every day that you see a Mercury Mystique. It wasn’t exactly the most popular of the brand's lineup. The car entered production on August 15, 1994, to replace the Mercury Topaz. Offered only as a four-door sedan, with little legroom for the rear passengers, it simply failed. The last Mystique rolled off the production line in Kansas City, Missouri, on December 23, 1999.

The Mercury Mystique was ironically referred to as the Mercury "Mistake." A mistake was probably made by this driver, too. Their car reportedly hit the curb and went airborne, according to one of the police officers who arrived at the scene.

The Mercury stopped with the front end stuck in a land rise in front of what seems to be a home, with its belly lying on the top of the fence. The front passenger-side wheel was ripped off in the impact. The video shows it sitting on the pedestrian sidewalk, while the rear wheels of the car are suspended mid-air.

The rear wheel on the same side hangs in a strange position, so it must have also been dislocated. A traffic sign can be seen on the pavement, so it was probably taken down by the car flying through the air.

Here are some other cars that ended up in strange positions

The police officers secured the area and started an investigation. There is no information about anyone getting injured in the crash, but the driver is nowhere to be seen. The car looks as if someone had been living in it as the passenger side windows were covered with cloth used as curtains.

Earlier this week we reported about a Kia Optima ending up in a strange position. The model had reportedly collided with a white Ram 1500 pickup truck and was pushed into a fire hydrant. The water pressure made the Kia float mid-air, with the front end sitting on the pavement and the rear end supported by nothing but water.

Firefighters eventually managed to access the pressure valve and reduce the water flow before bringing all the wheels of the Kia back on the ground. But the car with the front end contorted and flooded seemed every inch a write-off.

Also a write-off must have been the Ford Mustang GT that also ended up suspended with the front end stuck in the wall of a building on Shelby Street in Indianapolis.

The photos from the scene showed the muscle car in the strangest position, with the rear end hanging from the wall of the structure. The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to the nearest hospital for a checkout. But his car was most likely totaled.

That is probably why the sight of a Chevrolet Camaro dangling from the ninth floor of a building in Charlotte, California, last week seemed familiar. It took the local department 41 minutes to bring the car back to safety. Luckily, nobody was injured, but the front end of the Camaro, which seemed to be a ZL1, did not really look great.
