Mercedes is replacing the regular SLS AMG with the updated GT version, which is a slightly better car in every way. Today, the Germans have also revealed the F1 safety car version of the GT, which will make its official debut at the 2012 Singapore Grand Prix.
Compared to the regular AMG supercar, the GT has darkened headlights and a few other touches. The safety car version adds its own touches to this – a light bar on top of the cockpit and F1-style livery.
The major difference, however, is under the bonnet, where Mercedes gave the 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V8 30 more horsepower for a total of 591. This is enough to make this mean safety machine go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, and reach the 200 km/h in just 11.2 seconds.
