Less than two weeks ago we were telling you that the new Mercedes-Benz CLA will make its way to the Chinese market as well, with rumors saying it will gain a locally-built stretched version some time in 2014 or 2015.
Little is known about the long wheelbase CLA, apart from the fact that it will be developed by the Beijing-Benz joint venture, but the vehicle should be offered with the same engines as the regular China-spec CLA - 1.6-liter and 2.0-liter turbo petrol units.
Details, details... We know most of you are probably wondering what the CLA would look like with an extended wheelbase. Well, it’s Theophilus Chin to the rescue once again, as his own interpretation of the vehicle hit the Internet a few days ago. He says the added about 5 inches (127 mm) to the wheelbase, making room for bigger rear doors and more legroom.
