Unicate, a company that is part of the MEC Design Group, has released their latest project targeting the largest coupe Mercedes has ever made, the CL, and not just any CL, but the AMG version.
The look of the car has been subtly enhanced with a carbon fiber spoiler at the back and 21-inch AMG wheels with spacers to widen the stance. They’ve also added a sports lowering suspension and new trapezoidal exhaust.
On the engine front, the 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 has been tuned to produce no less than 616 horsepower. Thanks to the 70 or so extra ponies, it reaches 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, but is still electronically limited to a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
We’re glad to see the didn’t go overboard and changed little in terms of styling. The CL-Class deserves better than to be buchered.
