About two weeks ago we were telling you about a rather nice rendering that was supposed to give an idea of how a station wagon version of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class W222 might look like.
Made by “Automotive manipulator” Theophilus Chin, the S-Class shooting brake was in essence just a nice image, with no real chance of something like that to actually end up in production.
We were also mentioning that in our view, an S-Class Coupe Shooting Brake would probably make more sense, both stylistically and from a business case point of view.
Well, as it turns out, Theophilus Chin either read our minds, our story - or it's most likely a perfect coicidence - and recently photoshopped a Shooting Brake version of the Mercedes-Benz Concept S-Class Coupe, made by carefully stitching together two concept cars: the Concept S-Class Coupe and the Concept Fascination.
The result is simply gorgeous from our point of view and we would love to see a version of it in production. Maybe someone important at Mercedes-Benz sees it and takes it as a hint. This is the kind of niches we would like to see the Stuttgart brand slip into.
