The fastest, most powerful and most dynamic Mercedes-Benz S-Class in history, the new S 63 AMG, just had its first public debut at this year's edition of the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Until the S 65 AMG V12 behemoth gets unveiled in the following weeks (probably), the Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG featured in the following photo gallery will be the most powerful sedan in its segment.
With no less than 585 hp and an asphalt-wrinkling 900 Nm (664 lb ft) of torque, squeezed out of the M157 twin-turbocharged V8 with direct injection, the new AMG version of the S-Class can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in four seconds flat if equipped with the optional 4Matic all-wheel drive system.
With almost 100 kilograms (220 pounds) less weight than its predecessor, the S 63 AMG W222 is also a lot more fuel efficient, despite gaining quite a lot of horsepower and torque. The model's average NEDC fuel consumption sits at between 10.1 and 10.3 liters per 100 km (22.8 to 23.3 mpg).
