One might think that with a generous range of new-gen G-Class versions, including the AMG G 63, the 4x4 Squared, and the brand-new electric EQ, enthusiasts would forget that the three-pointed star does not have a 6x6 variant of the latest iteration.
A true monstrous ride, this model does not fit in most garages. But that's okay, as it was never intended to be a mainstream product, hence the limited build numbers. The icing on the cake is the extra axle, yet that's not the only modification, as this model also features a jacked-up stance, an open bed behind the cockpit, and a few other enhancements.
But why are we talking about the Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG 6x6 many years after it left the production line? For two reasons: it is still ultra cool, and Mansory shared images of a tuned one recently. It's not as brash as most of the tuner's projects, yet it is also far from being more eye-catching than the stock one, which makes us wonder why some people feel the need to have a rare six-wheel-drive machine with a controversial makeover.
Can you tell what's new? That would be a few exterior add-ons and the tuner's logo with a partially teal look replacing the three-pointed star emblem on the grille. The same lively accents can also be seen on the wheels, and the hue ties the exterior to the modified cockpit.

Opening the door will instantly give you a minty breath, as the entire interior was reupholstered in high-end leather with a teal look. We can see it on the seats, dashboard, floor, center console, steering wheel, door cards, and other components. This vehicle also features a pair of individual seats at the rear, Mansory-branded seatbelts, a starlight headliner, a rear seat entertainment system, special treadplates, and so on.
We cannot say that we hate this Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG 6x6, but we certainly don't love it, either, especially with the reupholstered cabin. Then again, we think the exterior is still menacing, and the double nostrils and extra lights fit the package.
If we ever win the lottery, then this model would most likely decorate our extensive exotic car collection, as it will always be a conversation starter and great machinery capable of devouring some steep trails, so long as it fits through it. However, it will not feature any aftermarket touches at all, as the G 63 6x6 looks best in OEM condition. This also applies to the wheels and tires, which suit the truck's menacing look.
