After taking most markets by storm in terms of sales in the last few months, to the point of even bottle-necking the Hungarian plant where it's being made, the Mercedes-Benz CLA is already a success story.
Arguably the prettiest car based on the MFA (Modular Front Architecture) platform, the CLA is also the most aerodynamic production car in the world, with its Blue Efficiency Edition sporting a drag coefficient of just 0.22.
Despite essentially being an A-Class with a bigger luggage compartment, the CLA is only around 50 kg (110 pounds) heavier, meaning that all engines common between the two models have similar performance figures.
Unfortunately though, sharing its platform with the compact A-Class also means that not just the qualities, but the quirks are shared between the two as well.
The Brits from Car Magazine recently had a go in a Mercedes-Benz CLA 220 CDI AMG Sport, and despite the resulting review not being the most flattering possible, they did give it four stars out of five in the end.
