With the fourth generation of the C-Class (or the fifth, if you're also counting the 190 E) finally launched at the 2014 North American International Auto Show, comparisons between the new model and its German direct competitors have been springing like mushrooms after the rain.
Well, not really, as the only media outlets with full access to the new C-Class W205 are from Germany, and they're not that many.
The folks from Auto, Motor und Sport, for example, took a 2015 C-Class W205 and pitted agains the segment's best seller and its main benchmark, the BMW 3 Series F30, leaving the aging Audi A4 B8 aside for others to compare.
As it seems, the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class trumps the 3 Series' interior in terms of both design and materials used, with the only downside being a somewhat lower head room on the tested version, as it was equipped with a panoramic roof whose mechanism takes up a couple of inches. If you know your German, you might want to head to the AMS website for the complete comparo and more photos.
