German tuner MKB has announced a sort of general tuning package, targeting all the Mercedes Benz AMG models that pack the recently launched 5.5-liter twin-turbo, as well as one for the wafty 500 V8 that are still around.
The new twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 has been enhanced by MKS to produce an extra 122 hp and 300 Nm of torque, bringing the total output to 640 hp and 1.000 Nm. This engine is available in the CL63, CLS63, ML63, S63, but also the upcoming SL63 AMG.
The jump in output comes as a result of an increase in boost pressure, and an ECU remap that’s been calibrated to work in conjunction with a new high-flow exhaust.
In the case of the MKB CL63 AMG you see in the picture above, the extra kick result in a 0 to 100km/h in 4.1 seconds and a new top speed of 340km/h.
As for the 500 V8 Mercedes models, the normally aspirated engine has been given 530 hp and 800 Nm, only through ECU adjustments
