Currently, the world's most powerful series-production crossover is the Lamborghini Urus SE plug-in hybrid super-SUV. However, America still has its local favorites, like the mighty Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.
These days, the iconic Hemi V8 is about to get the retirement papers from Stellantis, so every time an example of the legendary series comes out to play, it should be cherished. However, that doesn't mean everything is perfectly smooth. Here, let us give you an example of what happens when a vehicle develops a sudden case of 'hiccups.'

A new YouTube channel aptly named 'The Drag Race' seeks to make a name for itself on the scene with racer interviews and quarter-mile dragstrip action – host John Torres (he's also the videographer behind ImportRace, another channel we're keeping tabs on) was at Bradenton Motorsport Park in Bradenton, Florida, for the Street Car Takeover event and witnessed the feuds between a couple of interesting racers.

His focus is on driver Matt with MC Customs, who is at the venue alongside his white 2017 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S convertible equipped with the mighty 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 and a few subtle mods ("an intake, some downpipes, and a nice spicy tune"). They're on the premises to see what they can do with "around 590-wheel horsepower and 620 lb-ft of torque." Not much, if we judge them by the initial skirmish against a fellow German contender.

The direct rival in the other lane at BMP is none other than BMW's 4 Series (the description identifies it as a 135i, but as far as we are concerned, this is an F32 first-generation 4 Series coupe any day and night), and their first encounter is way more balanced than anyone would have expected given the 2.12 versus 2.19 reaction times. However, the mighty AMG ultimately prevails with 12.05s versus 13.5s ETs at 119 and 105 mph, respectively.

Irrespective of that outcome, the BMW called for a rematch, and – as is customary – they switched lanes. As far as we can tell, the Bavarian isn't an M4 – it's more likely something less powerful that is equipped with M Performance Parts. Anyway, the second race is on, and the Mercedes, this time around, dials up a notch the action, winning unequivocally via a much better 11.56s pass against its opponent's worsening 13.73s elapsed time.

Next up, it's time for the America versus Import battle we have been promised in the title of the video embedded below – the white AMG knight went up against an equally white (both have black wheels, though) Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Trackhawk sporting the well-known 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine. However, we have always said that we should always be on the lookout for the unexpected – this time around, the Trackhawk stutters and completely gives up the fight even before passing the Christmas tree. This results in absolute destruction – the lone AMG posts an 11.66s pass while the Jeep forfeits.
