German aftermarket developer recently developed an ECU remap for Mercedes AMG’s new twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine, with the company using a CL63 AMG as a test vehicle, one that you can see in the images above.
mcchip-dkr calls this “Stage One” with the upgrade bringing the engine to 590 hp and 875 Nm (lb-ft) of torque. The tuner offers the aforementioned values regardless of which power version the AMG unit originally has.
In addition to that, mcchip-dkr also removes the electronic speed limiter of the car, with the top speed jumping from 250 km/h (155 mph) to 310 km/h (192.5 mph). In case you were wondering how long the tech play lasts, mcchip-dkr needs to keep you car in its hands for between 4 and 6 hours in order to gift it wit its ECU remap.
