Even wondered how a machine with 800 horsepower might make that figure sound a bit... tame? Welcome to the McLaren Senna, a track special that happens to be fiercer than its max output number.
Sennas have started reaching their owners earlier this year, so we haven't had the time to check out some proper real-world results of the hypercar.
Well, here we are, bring you an example of the current Woking range-topper, with the beast tearing up the Hungaroring circuit. Keep un mind that we're taking about a Formula One circuit located in Hungary.
The Senna visited the said track as part of a test held by L'Argus, but the French label only released the piece of footage at the bottom of the page, without providing any further details.
Unlike in the case of the Nurburgring, carmakers don't rush to compete for the title of the fastest production car on the Hungaroring. Even so, we'll talk lap times.
You see, the absolute record for the current layout of the circuit is 1:16.28, but this comes from a Ferrari SF70H (that's right, we're talking about an F1 car here) and has been set by Sebastian Vettel.
As for the quickest street car to have set wheel on the H circuit, this title sits with the Bac Mono, which is barely worthy of its license plates. Nevertheless, the track toy managed to blitz the circuit in 1:54, which made it a full six seconds quicker than the Ferrari 458 Speciale.
This means the Senna must've set a new production car lap record for the Hungaroring and be sure to check out the video below while you let this sink in.
Note that we also added a second video below (the clip on the right), which brings you a Carfection-delivered track review of the Senna.
