McLaren has recently taken its P1 round the Nurburgring, with the hypercar reportedly registering a lap time of 7 minutes and 28 seconds. However, it seems that the automaker is not pleased with this result and won’t post an official time until they improve this.
We’ll remind you that back in May, a leaked McLaren presentation said something about the P1 and a 6:33.26 ‘Ring time. While that seems to belong to the SF genre, it appears that McLaren won’t announced an official time until the P1 hits the 7-minute barrier.
Such a time would mean that the McLaren P1 would be the fastest production car on the ‘Ring, with the exception of the Radical SR8-LM, whose “street-legal” status is as thin as its soundproofing.
