As we found out during our test drive, the McLaren MP4-12C is a two-sided automobile. When you drive it normally, it can be unpleasant and it won’t give you the expected satisfaction. However, if you step on the gas, the neck-snapping performance will thrill you.
Tuners from across the world are well aware of this and they’re trying to make the British supercar a bit more spectacular, so it is also interesting when you’re not hammering it. The latest example of this kind comes from US wheel developer, HRE, which has gifted the MP4-12C with a new set of shoes.
The McLaren now wears HRE S104 rims, which use a slim design that fits the athletic lines of the car. The wheels come in a two-tone finish, mixing black centers with silver lips.
