How do you feel about camouflaged vehicles? Not the army types, but those highly-anticipated cars that show up in spyshots showing not too much “skin”. Well, we know the automotive world would be a lot more boring without them, but we do hate them at times. Especially when we know there’s something very interesting going on under those wraps.
However, and hard to believe actually, some people might enjoy camouflaged vehicles. Probably more than we can imagine. Otherwise we wouldn’t be writing about this McLaren MP4-12C wrapped in a vinyl skin that looks exactly as the one used by the Surrey-based company when testing their prototypes.

Dubbed Greenwich Edition, this unique supercar was “coated” by the Miller Motorcars McLaren dealership in Greenwich and wears a price tag of $259,035 (€197,631 / £166,828). As you might have guessed, the car isn’t quite new. It’s a pre-owned vehicles that’s gray under the vinyl wrap, which was obviously applied for marketing reasons. The camouflage pattern reportedly took three days to apply and the dealer claims the while lines represent race tracks around the worlds.

While we think it’s a nice idea, we can’t help but recommend a proper paint job instead of a vinyl wrap. It’s still a McLaren you know...
