The Mazda MX-5 has done it again: the Japanese roadster has been recognized as the world’s “Best Sports car”, as revealed by the 2010 JD Power vehicle ownership satisfaction survey.The Mazda MX-5 managed to achieve a satisfaction rating of 82.3 percent, surpassing rivals like the Mercedes-Benz SLK, the Audi TT and the VW Eos to claim the “Best-in-Class” honors.
“Continuing to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of its globally successful sportscar, Mazda currently offers the MX-5 as a soft-top or roadster coupe (with the world’s fastest folding powered roof, up or down in 12 seconds), with prices ranging from £17,245 to £22,730,” stated the press release.
The survey included over 17,000 vehicle owners across the UK. Owners of Mazda’s sporty two-seater gave their vehicles top scores for appearance, exterior and interior quality, mechanical reliability, performance, running costs, as well as dealer service.
One feature that owners were particularly pleased with is the car’s soft-top, which was pleased for its quality and reliability.
