Facebook may be a virtual representation of our real lives, but Mazda has recently shown that things can also go the other way and it all involves drifting. To celebrate the fact that 100,000 people have clicked the “Like” button of the Mazda Canada Facebook page, the company has used a Miata / MX-5 to write a thank you message.
To the “professional” driver’s delight, he was asked to draw “100,000” on the surface of the “closed course”. We’re talking about what seems to be an airfield here, so he had plenty of space to play.
Sure, the Miata was never as powerful as to turn its rear tires into smoke at the first touch of the pedal, but the car puts on quite a nice show.
We are also offered a few slow-motion parts to add some visual spice to the feat. However, if you want to check out how hard things are really being pushed, you can use the tire smoke as an indicator for this.
