The Mazda CX-5 has recently received a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP and now the automotive producer is bringing the crossover back into the spotlights, announcing that the it has surpassed sales expectations.
The car was introduced to the US market in limited quantities back in February and has managed to convince 7,503 customers so far, while in Canada 3,324 units of the vehicle have been sold so far.
In Australia, the CX-5 leads the crossover segment in terms of March and April sales, with 2,800 units sold, while the European market is led by Russia, with 7,500 cars ordered so fat, with Germany coming second (5,000 vehicles). As for the Japanese market, this has registered sales of 16,000 units.
"The 2013 CX-5 offers many of the needs and wants of compact SUV shoppers -- and then some," said Robert Davis, senior vice president, U.S. Operations, Mazda North American Operations (MNAO).
