The Maserati GranTurismo isn’t exactly underpowered, but the vehicle could use a little bit of extra muscle. We’ll remind you that the elegant coupe is powered by a 4,244 cc V8 powerplant that delivers 405 hp and 460 Nm of torque.
Wheelsandmore however played with the engine, raising its output to 447 hp and 500 Nm. But let’s see what goodies the engine was offered in order to deliver these figures. The tuner installed a handmade stainless steel exhaust that uses special valve flaps and remapped the ECU.
The extra power and torque can be handled just fine, as the aftermarket developer has fitted the Italian supercar with a Street Comfort Coilover suspension supplied by KW. The tuner also modifies the units that come with Maserati’s skyhook suspension. The new suspension brings the car’s cornering game to a new level, allowing the driver to push harder while tackling the bends.
The aftermarket developer has also gifted the car with a new set of rims, installing lightweight 6Sporz wheels that use a six-spoke design and come in a 20-inch size. The wheels use Dunlop Sportmaxx GT tires, which come in a 265/30 size for the front axle and in a 325/30 one for the rear axle.
This modification package comes with a moderate approach and we can only be pleased by it. Don’t get us wrong, our boat floats best when we meet an extreme tuning kit that offers a whole new identity to a car, but we also appreciate programs that build on a vehicle’s stock assets, such as this one.
