Pure Vision Design is known for building several awesome classic Mustangs, but probably none of them are as cool as the Martini-liveried T-5R Fastback.
Showcased for the first time at the 2012 SEMA Show, the Martini Racing Mustang blends the look of a Shelby GT350R with a rally car. Despite being fitted with parts found on many different Mustangs, the Martini T-5R really stands out thanks to Pure Vision Design’s attention to detail.
And what’s under the bonnet makes it even more special, as the tuning specialist fitted the pony with a Ford 4-cam Indycar V8 from the 1960s. Modified to be more “user friendly”, the mill boasts 426 horsepower and 362 lb-ft of torque.
There’s plenty of details to be admired once you’re close to this car, such as the Shelby R-style roll bar, blue leather sports seats, bespoke aluminum gauge panel, Shelby Cobra pedals and a 4-speed transmission supplied by C&R Performance.
To read the full story, head over to our friends from Mustangs Daily, who have seen this beauty of a musclecar in the metal. Fortunately, they’ve also took a lot of pictures, some of which can be found in our photo gallery section below.
