The luxury car, SUV, and truck modification experts from Brand, Germany, have done it again. Mansory now finally has a full program for the flagship S-Class variant, the AMG S 63 E Performance.
While it's growing long in the tooth and will soon feature a mid-cycle refresh, the W223 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is still a viable option for the aftermarket realm's shenanigans – as exemplified here by Mansory. It all started back in January when the latest and most powerful Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance became sort of a 'clown' car that only a Mafia game developer would approve – mostly thanks to an abundance of red 'lipstick' used for some of the new aerodynamic details.

The controversial Mansory firm added an entire barrage of aero parts and even some appendages that probably don't do anything but add to the final MSRP. The tuner also didn't reveal the interior back then or say a word about the oily bits, so we reckoned the Affalterbach brand's popular 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 remained unchanged together with the rear-mounted electric motor – together they churn out a combined 791 hp (802 ps/590 kW) and some 1,055 lb-ft (1,430 Nm) of torque.

That's not bad, of course, given the 3.2 seconds needed to sprint to 60 mph (96 kph) or the top speed of 180 mph (290 kph) when fitted with the optional AMG Driver's Pack. Curiously, that wasn't the end of the 'ordeal' for the Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance high-performance full-size sedan because a few weeks later, Mansory learned the value of 'less is more' by dropping the accent color off its heavily-tuned version of the limousine – thus embarking on the classic 'murdered-out' sailboat with flying (all-black) colors.

Wait, wait, there's more to the story. As it turns out, months later, Mansory has finally completed the entire program for the Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance and is now ready to present a new chapter – dubbed Mansory P950. Their take on the "luxurious, ultimate high-performance business saloon" also comes, at long last, with some additional ponies under the hood. It's all thanks to "a new control unit for the engine with modified mapping, two larger superchargers, an integrated airbox, and a high-performance exhaust system with high-performance catalysts."

Thus, the Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance now jumps from 791 horsepower to 950 horsepower, and the torque rating surged from 1,430 to 1,565 Nm or 1,154 lb-ft. In the stratosphere of high-performance behemoths, this translates into a zero to 62 mph (100 kph) sprint in 3.1 seconds and the same top speed of 290 kph or 180 mph, which isn't much, for sure. Alas, the tuning program now includes subtle minty green touches on the outside that hint at the extravaganza happening inside – now we finally also have images of the interior.
