We do not expect Mansory to bring out the beauty within its projects, as this tuner has maimed almost all cars it has touched over the years. Be it the usual blue-blooded squad, some luxury models, or even hypercars, most of their builds step over the OTT line.
The same goes for their latest project, a customized BMW XM. The Stuttgart brand's super crossover is already one of the ugliest in its class. Thus, it doesn't need Mansory's help to be flashy, as it does so straight from the factory. However, the controversial tuning company believes it needs its touch, so it has added this model to its portfolio.
We didn't have a press release to reveal the aftermarket work that went into it at the time of writing. However, Mansory's social media post, which we embedded at the bottom of this story, is more than enough to reveal the modifications, which are very in-your-face. It is a carbon fiber fest arranged in a way that makes the vehicle even uglier, sprinkled with some more add-ons.
If you look at the crossover's face, you will see multiple pieces that came from Mansory. These include the add-ons around the main clusters and the apron, which is significantly chunkier now. The hood is part of the makeover, and so are the carbon fiber wheel arches. The mirror caps follow the same flashy pattern, just like the side skirts.
One will need some carbon fiber-blocking eyewear to fully enjoy this BMW XM's back end, as Mansory left its signature all over it. It has a pair of spoilers, including the one mounted on the roof and the one in the middle of the tailgate, bumper attachments, and a new diffuser with cutouts for the stacked quad exhaust tips. The XM logo hasn't been deleted, yet the BMW roundel up front was replaced.
The alloys also came from the aftermarket world and look out of place on the BMW XM. If anything, they would look better on something made by Mercedes-Maybach or Rolls-Royce. The forged set has a black finish that provides some contrast to the car's exterior.
Mansory also mentions "an interior bespoke opportunity by request," albeit without revealing the tuned BMW XM's cockpit. We can partially see it through the windows in some pictures released on Instagram, and it appears it features a lively color (orange?). It is possible that Mansory also gave it its own entry sills, logos, and probably a bit more carbon fiber before calling it a day and moving on to the next project.
Now, if you had the budget to buy a BMW XM, what color would your X5 M (or maybe X6 M) be? And would it feature any mod?
