Man Drives Without Permit for 46 Years

Some people struggle to take driving lessons and pass the difficult driving test to get their permit, while others avoid the ordeal and simply get behind the wheel on public roads... without a driving license.

As incredible as it may seem, the Spanish police managed to catch a 60-year-old man who has been driving without a license since the age of 14, drive.com has learned.

But guess what? He wasn't pulled over for doing something wrong in traffic rather for a routine check in Plasencia in the west of the country. That's how the police officers found out the man never passed a driving test for the simple reason of being... illiterate.

However, this wasn't an impediment for him to get at the wheel of “all kinds of vehicles," including lorries and construction machinery, "without any problem." Despite the fact that he didn't do anything wrong except for driving without a permit, the man was reported for endangering road safety.

Ok, so the guy has been driving without a license for 46 years and never in his life was he stopped by the police? How come? Was he driving in his backyard or what? It's almost impossible to be driving for that long and not being at least once pulled over for a routine check.

What's wrong with old people these days? A few weeks ago, we learned about an Australian grandma who was also driving without a permit and caused an accident. Now, we stumble upon this freaky guy who claims he's been driving for a lifetime without a license.

As far as we're concerned, there could be only two possible explanations: either these old people are extremely bored with their pensioner lives and try to get attention somehow or the Spanish guy is a truly excellent driver who is showing the whole world you don't need a piece of paper to drive a car perfectly.
