There is not a single panel of the body of this Dodge Charger Scat Pack that remained untouched by fire. It has been toasted and roasted from bumper to bumper. Someone bought it on a salvage auction and is planning to… well… salvage it.
The listing said that it runs and drives. And it actually does. With the hood popped up because it doesn't close easily any longer, and the body covered in burns, it gets off the trailer that towed it to its destination on its own power.

The 392-cubic-inch (6.4-liter) V8 engine breathes out all the drama that only the naturally aspirated HEMIs can put on. It is the HEMI that churns out 485 horsepower (492 metric horsepower) and 475 pound-feet (644 Newton meters) of torque to make the car flash from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 4.4 seconds and run the quarter mile in 12.7 seconds. An eight-speed auto box helps the engine put the power down through the rear wheels.

Every inch of the 200.8-inch (5,100-millimeter) Dodge Charger's body is covered in whatever fire has left behind: burns, scorches, and brashes. Furthermore, the tailwing brought by the Scat Pack widebody package looks like it started to melt in the fire that engulfed the car, so it going to need a replacement.

The interior, however, remained intact, but, according to the new owner of the muscle car, it smells like a barbecue. The cabin is all black leather and Alcantara. Luckily, the sunroof, which is a $1,295 option, and all the windows didn't melt in the blaze, and the dashboard and the touchscreen displaying the UConnect menu eventually light up. The 20-inch low-gloss Granite Crystal wheels look as if they were not affected by the blaze.

The Dodge Charger Scat Pack is not half as bad as the new owner thought it would be. Many of the issues on the Triple Nickel Exterior Paint – a $95 option – seems to come off at the touch of a finger. So, washing it would be a good start before anything else.

The odometer shows only 7,373 miles (11,866 kilometers), which makes the Dodge brand-new. The air conditioning works, and the sunroof slides back properly at the push of a button. The headlights still light up, but the taillight on the right side needs to be replaced.

It was obviously not a fire that started anywhere on or in the car but somewhere in its vicinity. There is no information on how it happened, so we can't tell if it was a house fire or another car parked nearby. But one thing is sure: the engine bay is also intact.

The wash cleans it up nicely. The temporary owner is either going to paint or wrap the Dodge Charger Scat Pack and sell it right away. And he decided to ask for $31,000. This version starts at $53,505 when new, before checking any option boxes.
