The guys that helped BMW research in the making of the i sub-brand, called Electronauts, will be rewarded by the German company, once the first i3 cars arrive in the States.
According to Jacob Harb, the Head of Electric Vehicle Operations and Strategy over at BMW in an interview for Autoblog, the people who helped the Bavarians in making the i3 will get a special-edition i3.
He wouldn’t go into further details about what’s special on these particular models but he did say that the options and features will help identify the car from the outside, probably hinting at some special paint choice or some new wheels.
The best thing about these special models is that they will be delivered first, being amongst the first to get off the production line, “as a thank you to them for being part of this broad journey with us.”
