We managed to get our hopes up last month with a report that the LF-A, Lexus’ attempt to produce a luxury super, will get a drop-top version that was expected to enter production in 2014.
Now, we find out that the Japanese automaker really didn’t intend to offer the wind in your hair at super-speed, as egmCarTech reports Bill Kwong of Lexus Division Communication described the LF-A Roadster as a “purely a concept” that “was created as the result of a styling exercise.”
To make everything clear, the official added that “there were no plans for a production version.”
This means that Lexus doesn’t have an answer for the 458 Spider. This means that the Japanese automaker will continue to produce the remaining numbers from the limited production run of the car.
