While its parent company Toyota struggles to find the best way to fix its global safety recall, Lexus continues its normal business with a new launch, this time in the Middle East. The company has just introduced the new GX460 SUV, a model that is already available in other sides of the market, including the US.
In the Middle East, the car will be offered with three interior colors, according to automiddleeast.com. A 17-speaker system is offered as standard on the top version, as well as with LCD displays integrated in the headrests of the second row seats.
There will be three trim levels available, Premium, Premium Plus and Luxury, with pricing starting at 230,000AED ($62,620), 260,000AED ($70,800) and 275,000AED ($74,900) respectively.
For the sake of comparison, in the US pricing begins at $51,970, while the Premium version has a price tag of $56,765. However, the MSRP does not include a delivery, processing and handling fee of $875.
The GX460 s powered by a 4.6-liter V8 engine, able to develop 301 horsepower and 329 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift, the new Lexus SUV returns 3 percent better fuel economy, now standing at 15/20 mpg.
