With the short movie industry appearing to take off these days, one of the side effects is that it's getting more and more difficult to spot the ones that will leave you thinking about them even after the coffee break you've spent on them is over.
Well, we might have a solution for that, one that comes from a rather unexpected area. We're talking about LEGO here. And we're not asking you to go down the geeky route or return to adolescence activities. Instead, we're introduction a LEGO build clip that could very well serve as a short movie.
At under three minutes, the video introduces a sped-up Lego Speed Champions build, with the target vehicle here being the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Z06.
The Dutch toy maker (and imagination enhancer) introduced the Z06 to its Speed Champions collection back in October. Like many of its fellow plastic sets, the supercharged 'Vette isn't the kind of accurate LEGO contraption that will turn men into children. Truth be told, maintaining the differences between supercars at this scale is rather difficult.
However, this set makes up for it in terms of pricing, since the box retails for $14.99 or €17.99. For the money, you'll get 173 pieces (ouch! that sounds painful for your feet if you forget to clean up before going to bed), neatly packed in three bags.
And while the set obviously comes with instructions, we find it considerably more enticing to watch this fast-forward build clip. Seeing the Z06 coming to life reminds us of the half-a-Z06 General Motors displayed at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, where the supercar debuted.
But while the Z06 section was there for educational purposes, we're talking about recreational matters here. Which is why we're inviting you to hit the "play" button below.
