Bad things do happen to good people, and bad things also happen to good, iconic, record-setting cars like the Lamborghini Miura, the world's first supercar, as it's usually referred to. Just ask F1 champ Lando Norris, he knows all about it.
Lando Norris isn't just a force to be reckoned with in the sports, making his way to the upper echelons of F1 drivers, but also a budding car collector. That last part should be no surprise since most F1 drivers are also passionate collectors with a very discerning taste in the rides that catch their eye and ultimately become their daily drivers.

Norris might be young (he's only 24), but he's already amassed an impressive auto collection estimated at well over $4.5 million already.

His latest addition to that collection is perhaps the most impressive of the lot, as well as the most telling in terms of his discerning taste: an early model of the iconic Lamborghini Miura, which could retail for anything between $1.8 million to $2+ million. Assuming one would come up for sale, in which case, consider yourself extremely lucky.

Norris bought his P400 Miura in late 2023 and he's been enjoying it ever since. He's often spotted around Monaco in the Royal Blue classic and, understandably so, never fails to get plenty of attention.

So imagine the shock of four random "lads" when a police officer asked them for help to push to start that same Miura. According to reports online, Norris was at the wheel of the classic, with his girlfriend in the passenger seat, when the engine "started whirring and just shut off," leaving him with an unplanned pit stop.

And yes, there are photos of the mishap, though we haven't been able to find video.

"He shouted over to a police officer, who asked four or five lads to help him push the car so it could get a running start," an eyewitness tells one British publication. Norris took the mishap in stride because part of the experience of owning a classic is the expectation that something might go wrong when you least expect it.

"The guys were happy to help as they were huge fans, got to have a look at the car, and even had a laugh at Lando's expense," says the same tipster. "They can now say they've been part of an F1 pit crew."

More than that, the lads can now say to have been part of a now-viral story, as well as boast about having touched Norris' Miura when helping him to get it moving again.

Only 275 examples of the first-gen Miura were produced between 1966 and 1969, becoming a success for Lamborghini despite the high price tag. Today, this V12-powered classic is a much coveted collector's item, as only some 400 Miuras in total are still in existence.

Norris' first-gen Miura joins his exclusive fleet that also includes a Lamborghini Aventador, a McLaren 720S, a GT, and a 570S, his first-ever car, a Jaguar F-Type Roadster, and a Rolls-Royce Wraith.
