Lancia-Chrysler and Jeep Dealer Network Poised to Take on Europe

According to an official company statement, the integration and reorganisation of the distribution activities of Fiat Group Automobiles and the Chrysler Group is now completed after only one year. As a result, two new Lancia-Chrysler and Jeep sales networks have started operations, comprising of over 1000 dealers, of which 350 trading both brands.

The new Lancia-Chrysler network will consist of over 600 dealers (of which nearly 450 present in major markets) and will be identified across European countries by the Lancia brand, except for the UK and Ireland where the Chrysler brand is adopted.

“The creation of this new, extensive network marks the commercial debut of the  new Ypsilon that will be sold in the major European markets under the Lancia brand and starting from September under the Chrysler brand in the UK and Ireland. Fourth series of the successful model, the new Ypsilon packs the best of Italian style, innovation and eco-friendliness into just 3.84 metres. For the first time it comes in a 5-door version designed to offer even greater convenience and comfort to devotees of Lancia charm, technological excellence and unique style,”
the official company statement reads.

The Jeep brand has managed to secure global recognition due to the seventy years of history it has behind it. On the Old Continent, the American brand will benefit from a 430-strong network, of which some dealerships have been consolidated over the years.

To celebrate its anniversary, Jeep will introduce the evolution of four different products to the European market, like the legendary Jeep Wrangler and its four-door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited version. 2011 will also be the year of the new Grand Cherokee powered by a turbo diesel engine. The flagship shares the same design concepts as the new Compass, the Jeep family compact SUV.
